Apply now Claims Handler required to join a successful independent insurance broker in North Leeds. You will be responsible for evaluating and negotiating the settlement of claims for a portfolio commercial based clients, from first notification, checking that cover applies and obtaining estimates where required. Your main duties will entail managing a varied case-load of claims, notifying insurers and assisting clients in the pursuit of any uninsured losses sustained as part of a claim. You will look to secure the best outcome for your clients, and liaise with third parties such as loss adjusters, and insurers. You will be required to offer a high level of service and manage clients expectations in regard to time-scales, and provide regular updates in relation to the claim. The successful candidate will have previous claims handler experience, preferably within an insurance company, Broker or loss adjuster. You will have a strong commercial acumen with excellent Microsoft and Excel skills and be able to demonstrate strong communication and organisational skills.
