About the Role We are looking for an Assistant Flood Risk Engineer / Hydrologist, to complement the Civil Engineering team in our Birmingham officeworking on various development projects UK wide. As well as the preparation of flood risk assessments this role involves conceptual drainage design and calculation and investigation into flood risk and drainage characteristics of development sites. As well as liaison with Drainage departments and agencies the role also requires client engagement, site visits and attendance at public consultation events. About You Ideally you will have BSc (Hons) Geography, MSc Water Resources Management or Climate Change and Policy or a similar Environmental qualification. Preference will be given to candidates who possess some flood risk experience and hydraulic modelling skills and drainage design experience is also preferred. Suitable candidates will possess excellent report writing and communication skills as these are both essential when engaging with clients and external agencies.
