The company has a global brand but a relatively small development team so the role would best suit a practical Engineer looking for the variety of office based Design, together with Build, Assembly & Test on the shop floor. Role & Responsibilities:*Assist in the Mechanical Design process (Using Solidworks), taking products through the full product life cycle from initial conception through to manufacture*Design and create mechanical component and assembly drawings*Build and prove prototype and pre-production sub-assemblies*Build and prove prototype and pre-production units*Assisting in the specification and sourcing of components*Assisting in the maintenance of Bills of Materials*Work with and provide technical support for Electrical Design, Production, Planning departments Knowledge, Skills & Experience:oExperience in 3D Design, Solidworks is preferential but not essentialoExperience in the design of metalwork.
