Apply now We have a fantastic opportunity to recruit a Battery Maintenance Operative at our Narborough Road, Jaguar Land Rover site! You will be responsible for conducting battery maintenance as part of the quality standards that Jaguar Land Rover enroll as part of their Vehicle Preparation. Due to the high volume of cars that we deal with, each one needs checking to ensure quality control is at its highest. Role This job would ideally suit someone with a technical background, so a knowledge of maintenance will be beneficial. Main duties of the role will be the maintenance and care of batteries for all new Jaguar Land Rover vehicles. This will entail checking and recording battery voltages, charging and care of batteries, removal and re-fitting of batteries, and maintaining accurate storage records and running reports on Excel to identify when vehicles require any additional checks. Please note: Removing and re-fitting batteries will involve some heavy lifting. The role may also entail some customer engagement as part of the checks, as occasionally will be carried out in the showroom. Training will be provided as necessary. Salary From £7.50 an hour, depending on knowledge and experience.
