The work can be very rewarding; however, it can also be challenging too, so you would need to be resilient, passionate, calm, composed and have the ability to manage the challenging behaviour in this school. The school is looking for a candidate who will embrace challenge and that would be committed on developing the students academically, socially and emotionally. The successful candidate will need to focus on providing the school with an additional layer of supportive behaviour management. The candidate would need to have a background in working with young people with challenging behaviour and also have worked in educational behavioural settings. Key responsibilities for the candidate: Promoting written and verbal English skillsMonitoring behaviour and engaging pupils throughout lessonsCreating a stimulating and welcoming learning environment to support the pupilsFacilitating learning by differentiation instructionEncourage appropriate social interactions with the pupilsBeing supportive with the pupils at all times Excellent classroom skills Please only apply if you have the following: Teaching Assistant qualification based in the UKExcellent written and spoken EnglishHold a current and up to date DBS (or be willing to apply for one)Has SEN experience in a UK based school This role is starting as a long term role, however may lead to a permanent position.
