Apply now Clinical Nurse Specialist - Orthopaedic - Central LondonSalary: £39,174 and £46,419 plus benefitsPermanent Full timeWorking hours 37.5 per weekRESPONSIBILITIESOur client is looking for an Orthopaedic Clinical Nurse Specialist will provide highly specialised orthopaedic care and clinical expertise to the orthopaedic team. The scope of this role is extensive:Working with consultants to set up protocols, pathways, multi-disciplinary meetings and multi-disciplinary ward rounds. Co-ordinating the patient journey, seeing patients for pre-assessment, liaising with theatre, inpatient visits, outpatient follow up, telephone consultations and patient education. Teaching - improving staff skills and knowledge about caring for patients having orthopaedic surgery. Clinical governance activity including audit and research.The CNS will be a visible role model to all members of the team. The successful candidate will be in a position to influence the work of other professional groups by initiating and participating in nursing and medical research. They will act as a change agent in relation to the care and management of orthopaedic patients.The successful candidate will be an expert practitioner able to lead and organise complex care across multi-professions. You will enjoy working as part of a small multidisciplinary team providing an excellent orthopaedic service for our patients and surgeons. You will show individual drive and initiative and the ability to work with minimal supervision.The usual pattern of work is Monday to Friday.
