Apply now We require one more team member to support a young, physically disabled man to lead an independent life within his family home. The care team provide personal care, support his medical needs and enable him to access the community. This role involves a holistic approach to supporting this man with my daily life. The successful applicant must be organised and able to prioritise his health needs and personal care, while allowing him to get on with my life. Candidates must have a UK full manual driving licence and be prepared to drive his adapted van. Flexibility and reliability are key attributes that really help in this small team. Shifts vary from short 2 hour shifts to all day shifts. The rota is written 3 weeks ahead so staff can plan ahead. There will be occasional night shifts to cover sickness or annual leave. The role will require manual handling, personal care, giving medication and the use of medical equipment. Full training will be given, both in-house and from outside providers. The person we are seeking will understand the importance of high quality care, be able to work within a small friendly team and in a family home. We are looking for a person with a positive outlook and an organised way of working.
