Apply now Experienced Casualty Underwriter required to form a key part of a Corporate Team in Manchester. The successful candidate will have responsibility for portfolio growth via the broker and client panel whilst maintaining and developing a portfolio of existing accounts. Key Responsibilities:To underwrite both new and renewal business according to defined underwriting guidelines, specified budget and local business plan.To assist in delivering underwriting strategy, forecasts and portfolio management in order to achieve underwriting profitability. To ensure quality control within defined area of responsibility by undertaking quantitative underwriting reviews, running regular meetings and peer reviewsTo represent and promote the company corporately to brokers and internal/external clients (including servicing existing/new clients monitoring business acquisition and retention and maximising cross-selling opportunities). Candidate requirements: Must have relevant market experience. Continues to develop technical and broader business skills.Comprehensive understanding and working knowledge of the insurance market and competitors. Solid experience of dealing with brokers and clients. Results driven with ability to make own decisions and work on own initiative. An experienced professional who is recognised externally.ACII preferred though not essential.
