Apply now Job Title: Chemistry LecturerType: Permanent & Full TimeSalary: Dependant on experienceLocation: ShropshireCommencing: September 2018We are currently recruiting for experienced and ambitious Chemistry Lecturer to join the growing Chemistry provision for our Shropshire based client in the education sector. This opportunity will commence in September 2018.The purpose of the role involves leading, teaching and development of students in the college. The successful candidate will be teaching a mixture of BTEC Level 2 and Level 3 in Chemistry, plus Access to HE (Level 3). You will effectively contribute to the successful learning experiences of the Chemistry students through effective teaching that meets/exceeds college standards and results in high levels of achievement and student retention.Further duties include:*Lesson planning*Marking ensuring that the internal College system is kept updated with students marks and progress*Contribute to the personal development of the students*Liaising with parents/guardians of students and colleagues within the college.*Monitoring student progress and identify personal and professional development needs.The successful candidate:*Relevant teaching qualification with a minimum 1 years' experience in teaching Chemistry*Knowledge and understanding of course structures and assessment*Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.*Organisational skills in course planning and delivery*Efficient administration skills to support a high level of student record keeping*Team player - liaising effectively with parents/guardians, students, colleagues and external bodies.
