Apply now We are currently working on a fantastic opportunity for a strong Paralegal to join the Children Law Unit of a highly regarded firm in Lincoln. Previous experience in a similar family law or childcare law environment is advantageous. Our client is a full service firm, ranked among the top 150 largest UK law firms with over 300 employees including 31 partners. They have a solid reputation, built and developed over time and provide a wide variety of level services and first class legal advice to their clients. Their family law division has an enviable reputation with a following established over many years and this is therefore a fantastic opportunity to take the next step in your career. The Role You will be required to assist and support senior fee earners with their varied caseload of Childcare Law mattersThis will involve liaising with clients as well as experts regarding fees and court attendancesYou will be expected to carry out legal aid matters such as online applications and costings whilst providing assistance with care proceedings. Familiarity with the current legal aid eligibility rules is therefore an advantage You will also be responsible for a variety of administrative tasks such as preparing letters and statements, reading and summarising medical and police records.A fantastic opportunity to work towards your own caseload is also an offering on this position The Candidate Previous Children Law or Family Law Paralegal experience is advantageous for this role.You will also ideally have a working knowledge and understanding of Children Law and the Children ActIt will be beneficial if you have previous experience of legal aid fundingYou will have fantastic communication skills and client management skills.
