Central London Basic Salary: £50,000 - £60,000 + bonus + benefits package We are recruiting on behalf of a market leading Non-Marine Claims team for a Lloyd's Syndicate based in the heart of the city. Responsibilities; Managing a varied and complex caseload of claims on a direct and facultative basis in the following classes of international business;Construction - Construction All Risks (CAR), Erection All Risks (EAR), Liability, Business Interuption etc. As well as Property & Energy.These claims emanate from across the world from industries such as Downstream Energy, Mining, Power, Nuclear etc.Manage a high value Farm & Crop account from a client perspective with the expectation to travel to Australia once a year. Further responsibilities include; Adhering to Lloyd's Minimum Standards Acting fairly towards policy holders Receiving and acting upon first notifications and updates Determining coverage Establishing and maintaining reserves Agreeing valid claims Face to face negotiations with brokers Handling claims electronically with a working knowledge of ECF (and/or ECF Writeback) Managing third party experts Representing the syndicate at Market meetings Attending client meetings Experience required: Ideally a minimum of 5 years in a Claims Adjusting role within a Lloyd's Syndicate or similar.Strong knowledge of International Construction Claims is essential.Property & Energy Claims experience advantageous.Either you will have achieved or already be working towards the ACII or DIP CII qualifications or similar. Will have experience of having managed claims within a Lloyd's Managing Agent/London market company and have a strong market presence A minimum of 5 years' experience in handling direct and facultative reinsurance claims in the classes of Construction, Property (including Binders), Downstream Energy & Power The role will also include oversight over a key Australian Coverholder, so ability to travel on business will be key.
