Apply now Claims Handler - Cambridge - £21,000 - £24,000 A well known Broker is looking for a Claims Handler to join their busy team. You'll act as a claim handling intermediary between insurer and claimant from first advice through to settlement. Responsibilities Handle allocation of open and new claims Ensure accuracy of communications issued and the data recorded Gather relevant information from claimants, present to insurers, pursue settlement from insurers and provide settlement to claimants Manage diary to ensure claims are progressed, chase outstanding material and actions Ensure that all estimates and payment records are accurate in line with the relevant insurers Keep claimants informed about progress of claim to settlement Ensure prompt and accurate issuance of any settlements Manage progression of claims to closure and archive in line with company policies Offer regular feedback to the Claims Manager on the current performance of insurers claims service for our clients Essential Skills Claims experience, either Commercial or Personal lines but training will be provided Customer care experience Good communication skills, telephone and face to face Ability to plan, organise and prioritise
