Apply now Our client is looking for an Account Executive to join their team in Newcastle. As an Account Executive you will be in a revenue producing role, to manage and provide a quality service in respect of growing client's demands. Key Accountabilities/Responsibilities: Generate new businessMarket customer business, typically of moderate complexity, retain and grow existing accounts Increase existing business outcome by identifying new and additional exposures, recommending solutions, promoting other products and maintaining relationshipsCo-ordinate and attend strategy meetings prior to renewal, review clients/agents demands and needs for new and existing contractsIdentify additional business opportunities and introduce clients to other product specialistsMaintain and develop contacts with clients and/or potential clients. Meet key client personnel on a regular basis in order to develop productive and enduring client/agent relationshipsInform clients/agents of risk management options and liaise with internal risk managers in order to increase their service offering with clients/agentsReceive requests for quotes, and develop / maintain a network of agency and/or broker relationshipsIdentify and analyse client exposures to recommend and/or design risk transfer/financing productsIdentify appropriate carriers, send requests, negotiate favourable quotes and prepare recommendations Work with the technical operations function to ensure good credit control is maintained and bad debt is kept to a minimum To apply for this role the successful candidate must have the following skills: Qualifications Cert CII/ Dip CII (Chartered Insurance Institute) desirableEducated to A-Level standard or equivalentTechnical KnowledgeRobust knowledge of general insurance (London Market / Lloyd's and Industry) products and services including underlying legal principles and practices Good understanding of general insurance product lines and risk management, is essential for advisory remit Experience Insurance and risk management experience desirableConfidence to advise and negotiate with clients using business acumenClient confidentiality and discretion maintainedStrong relationship and stakeholder management Forward planning (ability to anticipate future outcomes)Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skillsAble to manage time and to work on a number of projects concurrently Skills/Other: Excellent planning and analytical skillsAble to interpret data with accuracy and present findings articulatelyProfessional manner and approachStrong interpersonal and negotiation skillsStrong numeracy and analytical skillsAuthentic communication skills for varying audience Comfortable and credible at decision-maker levelPersistent and tenacious in achieving resultsSelf-motivated and motivates others to achieveContinually builds and sustains a network managing relationshipsProactive in risk management MS office and other relevant IT systems expertise How to apply: To apply for this role, please forward your CV in confidence quoting reference 1801-39AC.
