Apply now We are currently working with a national broker within their HQ in Leeds, who are on the look out for a Commercial Insurance Broker (Internal New Business) to join the team. This broker maintains an excellent reputation across the country and continues to expand rapidly. Main Duties and Responsibilities: Ensure that all new business instructions and requirements are handled promptly and accuratelAttend meetings as required, or as arranged by your manager.Work closely with prospects to ensure all instructions and requirements are handled promptly and accuratelySubmit referrals to our in-house Scheme Underwriters using the agreed format in a timely manner.The ability to seek alternative open market insurer placementsPrompt handling of all matters - day-to-day enquiries and new enquiries.To operate in accordance with company agreed processes.Proactive development of new business streams Pipeline and data .To put together Prospect risk presentations to forward to Insurers and to negotiate insurance premiums and cover with Insurers in line with requirementsReview insurer placements to ensure that best advice is offered at all timesControl of client debt and payment collections on your new accountsAttend meetings as required, or as arranged by your manager.To operate in accordance with FCA and company agreed processes Ideal Candidate Previous experience working within a commercial insurance brokerage. A strong understanding of commercial insurance products. Experienced in new business / sales. Confident over the phone and face to face. Ambitious to develop yourself and your career. Ideally be Cert CII qualified (Not essential) Salary Package Up to £24,000 basic salary. Up to £600 per month bonus based on performance. 25 days plus your birthday off. 6% employer pension contributionIncome protection up to state retirement age.
