The Role Working within the Maidenhead regional office, you will be responsible for finding, developing and growing new business opportunities within the region. This will be achieved by generating enquiries from the brokers and working quickly and efficiently to provide them with quotations. You will also have the opportunity to receive cross class training so you will be expected to demonstrate a broad skill base and a desire to acquire new underwriting skills. Key Responsibilities You will be responsible for: Consistent and profitable underwriting of Professional & Specialty Commercial business to achieve a new business GWP target Developing and maximising opportunities in the region through proactively prospecting large opportunities Regularly visiting brokers' offices, building strong relationships with the individuals and delivering superb service to them Identifying poorly performing brokers and implementing measures to improve their business Building specific product knowledge to become a point of referral for a specific product line Working in a compliant manner that ensures the region passes sales and underwriting audits Person Specification The successful candidate will have: A proven track record in commercial underwriting Working knowledge of Professional Indemnity &/or Commercial Combined insurance Ideally started or be willing to progress towards ACII qualification.
