Candidates will need to have excellent communication and team building skills. Person Specification: NNEB, Cache or NVQ level 3 Childcare qualification Experience of working with babies and toddlers Basic Food Hygiene Certificate (Desirable) Paediatric First Aid (Desirable) Some of the responsibilities for the Deputy Manager will include: Working closely with nursery manager and providing a safe secure environment where children can learn and growProviding cover for the nursery manager in times of absenceSupporting and directing staff in the baby roomObserving children and managing their learning and development recordsCompliance with EYFS and planning exciting age appropriate activities both indoors and outdoorsKey worker responsibilities to recording children's developmentWorking in partnership with parents and key interfacing groupsWorking to nursery policy and procedures in relation to Safeguarding, Health & SafetyAttending parent's evenings and supporting open daysAttending staff meetings and training as requiredWorking 40 hours per week Benefits: Excellent benefits in include training, uniform, and further career progression.
