Apply now Due to succession planning, CER is working in partnership with this Good OFSTED rated secondary school to appoint a new Director of Finance & Operations. Part of a small MAT, this role is integral as the school's leading support staff professional and a member of the SLT, to assist the Head Teacher in their duty to ensure that the school meets its educational aims. The Director of Finance & Operations is responsible for managing all services within the school that support learning and plays a vital role in maintaining a network between the three constituent Academies within the wider Multi Academy Trust. On a daily basis, this position promotes the highest standards of business ethos within the administrative function of the school and strategically ensures the most effective use of resources in support of the school's learning objectives. Responsibilities include: Accountable for the strategic leadership of Financial Resource Management/School Administration/Management Information and ICT/Human Resource Management/Facility and Property Management/Health & Safety Management and Sustainability Management of the school.Liaison and working with the relevant outside agencies to ensure full accountability for the school business management to the Head Teacher, SLT, the Governing Body, OFSTED and other external agencies as required.To lead, operate, maintain and develop the financial procedures and systems of the school in co-operation with the Strategic Leadership Team (SLT) and Governors, ensuring that legal and safety requirements with regard to people and functions of the school are maintained.To be the lead liaison person for all service level agreements or contracts at the school with all external organisations. The successful candidate will hold an accountancy qualification such as CIMA/ACA/ACCA or be qualified by experience with a solid understanding of the Education sector, be on point with academies finance reporting and has held a finance & operational role within a large primary or secondary school. On a personal note, you will possess natural leadership skills, can present financial information confidently to non finance staff and can manage a constantly changing daily schedule.
