With a global presence and a strong track record the company is set to continue developing for many years to come.Due to continued growth our client is seeking a capable and experienced EHS Coordinator with an established background in Nuclear Power to support during the planning and implementation of an expansion project for a key site in northern Belgium. Initially his role will be responsible for:*Coordination of general EHS prevention principals, establishing and updating plans as needed.*Working with key stakeholders and subcontractors on developing and appreciating H&S plans for the projects.*Disseminating key information from the H&S plan to all levels of the group, tailoring the message as needed.*Ensuring the site is compliant with H&S practises at all times, developing the intervention file for H&S actions and updating the coordination journal through all stages of the project. *Setting a strong general H&S procedure in place for the full project and maintaining this through execution. During the execution phase this role will be responsible for:*Development of the project H&S plan.*Development of the project intervention file.*Development of the coordination journal.*Training and regulation the H&S compliance of contractors.*Monitoring and maintaining security procedures on site as they related to H&S.*Development of all H&S standards on site, monitoring the H&S standards of all work proposals and updating all procedures as needed to match the project as it evolves. *Liaising with management, construction staff and H&S management to ensure appreciation and compliance to standards is adhered to at all times. In order to apply for this role, it is essential that you have the following:*A demonstrable background in successful Health and Safety coordination within the Construction and Nuclear Power industries. *Strong understanding of Belgian Health and Safety standards. *Excellent French and English skills, both verbal and written. *FANC accreditation and successful completion of SECURE training in order to work on a Nuclear site. *Excellent communication and diplomacy skills. *Strong academic and professional background in Health and Safety. In return our client is offering an exciting and dynamic working atmosphere on a key project for the group. The contract is expected to last two days a week for the initial stages before increasing to six days a week during the execution stage.
