Apply now A large UK based regulator are currently undergoing a proposed regulation legislation change programme and are recruiting for several Economists. These are 6-month roles which are responsible for critical analysis and policy work to support the implementation of a price cap. Main Duties: Deliver high quality quantitative and qualitative analysis for price regulation for susceptible customers and those experiencing default tariffsPresent object advice from findings to help advise aspects of the policyReview economic models, challenge input data and interpret output dataContribute to consultation forms and impact assessmentsWork closely with experts across policy, legal and financeWork with other government bodies, industry stakeholders and consumer associations Person Specification: Must have experience of economic analytical work in a regulatory environmentMust have demonstrable experience of successfully producing economic analytical work to support policy decisionsMust have demonstrable expertise in administrating economic concepts to policy appraisalMust have strong stakeholder communication engagement skills to be able to explain complex findings to both expert and non-expert audiencesA good understanding of the retail energy market and or social policy is highly desirableA degree or equivalent in Economics is essential The Pro-Recruitment Group consists of four distinct brands: ProTax, ProLegal, ProFinance and ProHR.
