Apply now A fast growing Electrical Division within a larger Engineering Services Company currently has a vacancy for a Contracts Manager to join their team The company are a multi branch, large engineering services company with over 400 hundred employees and growing daily, the Electrical Division within the business is the fastest growing arm of the company and roles and careers are developing within it very fast as well. In this position the Contracts Manager will be responsible for a variety of projects ranging in value from £10k to £5 million. The role will require the Contracts Manager to take ownership of these projects in regards tio H&S CDM Documentation, Programmes of works, Contracts Meetings, Interim Valuations, Claims for payment, Final accounts and O&M Manuals - with some management of Resource Applicants require previous Electrical Contracts Management Experience, Applicants must be able to demonstrate success in a previous similar role. ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE? Understanding of issues around the delivery of maintenance and refurbishment contracts in dwellings.? Understanding full contract management requirements within Social Housing sectors? Understanding of maintenance related contracts: JTC, NEC, PPC.? Understanding the use of schedule of rates, project costs, and financial controls.? Hold relevant qualification and professional qualifications.? Understanding of relevant legislation and codes of practice including H&S, Fire Regulations, etc. ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE? Experience of dealing with the public and in resolving queries and problems.? Experience of managing contracts from PQQ, ITT and tender opportunities to mobilization and actual delivery implementation.? To exhibit a track record of recruiting technical personnel.? Experience of managing personnel from office administration to technical engineers.? Experience of delivering projects to cost, quality and time constraints.? Experience of managing a team and prioritising workload.? Able to diagnose complex electrical defects and to produce specifications for repair/replacement.? Experience of managing staff and contractors in a repairs environment. ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS? Member of external accredited, professional body, i.e. F.I.A, MIET,? City & Guilds: 236, part 1&2, 2391, 2382. Professional qualifications. This is a very interesting job role within an extremely dynamic division of a fast growing successful company.
