Broetje Automation offers the entire service portfolio in the UK, including project management, sales, service and design and focuses especially on tooling. The Role: Electrical and Controls Position Overview: The Electrical and Controls Technician/Engineer works in the Department of Electrical Engineering. Tasks range from handling Project and Service cases on Broetje Automation equipment ranging from automated drilling systems, conveyor systems, positioning systems to operational tooling and jigs and tools in general. They will support putting the associated electrical and control systems, ranging from PLC systems, NC systems to Robotic controls systems and its sensors, actors as well as communication systems, such as various bus systems, into operation. Functionality check, error analysis and the support for the programmers on customer sites as well as on Broetje Automation premises during pre-commissioning phase are part of his duties. Further they could be assigned to perform quality inspection and documentation at the supplier sites, coordinate electrical installation contractors on customer sites, support electrical and controls content for quotations of the Broetje Automation Sales department and perform operator and maintenance training. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Provide on-site product installation, start-up and technical support. Install, troubleshoot and maintain the equipmentInstall, troubleshoot and maintain computer systems (including PLC, NC, Robot controllers, etc.), hardware and peripheralsInstallation/modification/optimization of hardware and software configurationsIdentify, analyse and repair product defects, order replacement partsDocument service incidents through the respective Broetje Automation data base systems including Service portal, site log bookDocument project incidents according to the Broetje Automation processes to Site Manager or Project Manager.Perform technical product training and basic user function training to customers.Work closely with Broetje Automation staff and customer's personnel to implement appropriate policies to ensure that own tasks as well as the tasks of coordinated contractors can be performed safely on site.Resolve customer issues relating to equipment from Broetje Automation or its suppliers.Ensure that customer satisfaction is maintained. Inform Broetje Automation management about related concerns.Escalate customer issues to the appropriate support level in Broetje AutomationSupport developing your peers by training on the job on skills and know-how and maintain the genuine team spirit.
