Apply now Job Title: Environmental AdvisorLocation: BirminghamType: Permanent & Full timeSalary: Dependant on experienceKey Skills: Environmental Advisor, Environment Management Systems, Audit & Compliance, Technical Support, HS2 Project, Civil Engineering, Proposals, Environmental Performance, Environmental Responsibilities, ISO14001, Communication skills, Problem Solving, Team PlayerDue to continued growth, an exciting opportunity has risen for an Environmental Advisor to join our leading client within the construction industry.Our client is looking for a talented, motivated and ambitious Environmental Advisor to join their growing team to work on the HS2 Project based in Birmingham.Responsibilities include:*Advise and guide the business in setting up, implementing and maintaining environment management systems.*Work on delivery of essential early works for the HS2 Project.*Provide subject matter expertise, ensuring the continuous improvement to environmental performance.*Provide technical support and advice to the project managers and colleagues in all divisions and undertakes environmental monitoring, audit and compliance reviews to ascertain compliance with the Environmental Management System.*Provide proposals to the company Environment Manager for amendment, development and improvement of existing system documentation. *Maintain and monitor company environmental databases and produce reports as required. *Prepare monthly report for submission to the Environment Manager. *Attend tender interviews and presentations to Clients as required. *Mentor and coach site staff with environmental responsibilities.The successful candidate:*Previous experience as an Environmental Advisor*Educated to degree level in civil engineering or environment management (or similar). *An Associate Member of the Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment (IEMA) *Experience of Civil Engineering or Construction and large multidisciplinary projects *Construction/Infrastructure experience*Previous experience of compliance with environmental legislation and company management systems within a civil or building engineering environment including thorough knowledge of ISO14001 Environmental Management System and its implementation.*Must have recognised internal auditing qualifications.*Have a good understanding of the demands of a multi-site role in a hands-on Advisor capacity*Adaptable team player with good initiative and strong problem solving skills.*Enthusiastic, self-motivated with the ability to self-learn.*Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including public speaking.*Excellent IT skills.If you feel you have the skills and experience to be part of this expanding and successful team, please apply online today!Salary: Dependent on experience (please state salary expectation on application)Location: BirminghamEnvironmental Advisor, Environment Management Systems, Audit & Compliance, Technical Support, HS2 Project, Civil Engineering, Proposals, Environmental Performance, Environmental Responsibilities, ISO14001, Problem Solving, Communication skills, Team Player, BirminghamAcorn Recruitment acts as an employment agency for permanent recruitment.
