We support 3 males and 3 females who have a learning disability and live in our supported living service in Marple, Stockport. We are looking to grow our team of enthusiastic, fun and reliable support workers. The people we support have varying needs and hobbies and require your support. You will be supporting them with full personal care, medication administration and also movement. You will also provide support with the things they love to do like seeing trains, seeing family, gossiping, or watching Manchester United. The people we support are all very different and with very different needs and ways of communicating with you, but we want you to know that in this service there is a gentleman who's smile will melt your heart! Have a look at the additional information attached created by the people we support, this will give you an idea of what the people we support want from you. Supporting someone with their daily life is not a 9-5 job. You will need to be able to work across a range of different days and shift patterns, including some sleep in shifts (Payment for sleep ins is competitive and compliant with National Living Wage requirements). We realise that your quality time is important too, so your rota is prepared well in advance - Got a request, something special going on? Your manager will certainly try to help you meet it. Due to the nature of this service we are looking for female only applicants. This post is exempt under the Equality Act 2010, Schedule 9, Part 1.
