Apply now Job Title: General Manager Location: Thaxted Salary: £60K + OTE Our client is an established business selling to the agricultural industry is looking for a General Manager. This General Manager is expected to drive forward their goals for the next 3 year which include significant growth, but at the same an increase in operational efficiency to reduce stock days and costs. They are therefore looking to recruit a financial and operation led General Manager that will bring the experience and passion required to drive this change. Key responsibilities include: Oversee daily operations of the whole businessEnsure the creation and implementation of a strategy designed to grow the business, and reduce investment in stock.Coordinate the development of key performance goals for processes and staff.Provide direct management of key departmental managers.Ensure the development of tactical programs to pursue targeted goals and objectives.Ensure on-time delivery and quality of wheels supplied to our customers.Ensure creation and management of financial budgets and forecastsEngage in key or targeted customer activities, for instance presentations or support at our customers sales events.Oversee key hiring and talent development programs.Evaluate and decide upon key investments in equipment, infrastructure and talent.Communicate strategy and results to the unit's employees.Report key results to the board, andEngage with the board in broader organisational strategic planning. Required Skills: Have a broad understanding of marketing strategiesBe able to develop and ensure maintenance of business proceduresHave proficient leadership, organisational and supervisory skillsBe dependable and professionalHave computer and software skills, particularly Microsoft Office and, preferably, SAP Business OneHave superior training and presentation skillsBe able to communicate successfully in both written and verbal formatBe able to properly manage teams and employeesBe able to delegate responsibilitiesHave first-rate skills in understanding, creating and analysing financial reports or budgetsUnderstand organisational cultureBe cordial and amenableBe resourceful, inventive and self-confident Required Experience: Development and application of efficient work processesManaging peopleUnderstanding of Health and Safety, eg IOSH Woking Safely or similarSome understanding of the agricultural industry is beneficial
