Job Introduction Based in the depot, you as a Mechanical Engineer with Speedy will be a key part of the depot operations. A productive workshop means equipment is always available for our customers, which in turn, keeps the customer happy. Main Responsibilities On a day-to-day basis, you can expect to be working directly with other engineers in the depot and liaising regularly with drivers and the hire desk team to ensure repairs and maintenance is prioritised effectively. Hands on, you role will find yourself performing mechanical repairs, assembly and servicing on our range of industrial power products such as diesel generators, pumps and lighting units. Whilst your role will need you to demonstrate the responsibility to work alone, we work proudly with a team culture so adaptability and communication are key. The Ideal Candidate At Speedy, we want to help you develop and progress; but we'll need you to demonstrate these skills and attributes for us to be able to support you… Essential: Strong mechanical skills and able to use tools effectively Experience with diesel engines Strong communication skills both verbally & written Able to adapt quickly to support others Commitment to learn and develop Desirable: Electrical knowledge of 3-phase.
