Apply now Graduate Learning Support Assistant * Primary & Secondary SEND Schools * Based in Barnet * Full-time or Part-Time * Daily pay £65 - £78 depending on experience Empowering learning are recruiting Graduates for our highly regarded Exploring SEND workshop on Wednesday 4th April 2018. If you are a graduate considering a future in teaching but don't have any classroom-based experience, then our SEND workshop will give you the opportunity to start your career in Education as a Learning Support Assistant within a SEND setting. Our SEND specialist will deliver an Introduction to working with children and young adults with special needs. You will be required to attend a 1-day workshop, the session will last up to 4-hours and will cover different areas of SEND such as working with pupils with PMLD, Autism and Down Syndrome. This workshop will also look into dealing with Challenging Behaviour and will help you better understand how to deal with this when are working as a Learning Support Assistant. Once the 1-day workshop is completed, we will then help you find a voluntary position for 4-5 days within one of our partnered SEND schools based in London. The 1-day Exploring SEND workshop will be FREE of charge and your voluntary placement is unpaid, once both are completed you will be able to work for Empowering learning as a Learning Support Assistant on a part-time or full-time basis.
