Apply now Role Our client are a high-tech engineering company who deliver world leading high speed electric motors and drives for automotive turbo-charging applications and other sectors. To support expansion plans and increased commercial activity, our client is looking to recruit an enthusiastic and talented Graduate Power Electronics Engineer on a permanent basis to join its busy engineering team, and to play a key part in ensuring future success within a fast-moving industry. Duties and responsibilities • Generate designs based on technical specifications for high speed motor drives • Design and simulate power electronics, gate drive and control circuits including physical layout • Assist in building and testing of prototype power electronics and control systems • Provide technical liaison and support for customers worldwide • Manage customer-driven and internal projects • Assist with design and verification of embedded control software • Work with mechanical engineers to integrate electronics in to products • Identify opportunities for improvements in functionality and manufacture Skills and experience • Experience of power electronics design • Experience in motor drive design is a particular advantage including inverters and DC-DC converters, high speed motors • PCB circuit design and optimisation • Practical, hands-on experience of prototype circuit build, test and result analysis • Good team working, communication and presentation skills • Self-starter, able to prioritise and plan effectively • Keen attention to detail • Degree in Electrical / Electronic Engineering or related discipline Location Kenilworth Benefits Training will be given by experienced engineers with appropriate off-site courses as required.
