A popular school located in Ponders End, North London would like to employ a Graduate starting September 2018.Ideally a Graduate who is be a clear communicator, someone who would like to engage and inspire students and someone who is passionate.The school is keen to secure a Graduate to join a thriving department, you will be working within a team of Graduates so will have support.The role includes supporting the class teacher and students during lessons, lesson are 1 hour each.As a graduate you will have exposure to a range of subjects at key stage 3, 4 and 5, this will expose you to a range of teaching styles and how different departments work. As a graduate this role may be your first job and the support you will be given will be outstanding. Not only will Prospero be able to support you at interview stage but also throughout placement. The schools Special Needs Coordinator will support you, guide you and provide you with training. You will be working in a learning support department with a range of graduates who will be slightly more experienced than you who will be able to provide you will strategies, lesson plans and a whole host of other tools to be effective.The recruitment process in schools is quite longwinded and they have worked with Prospero for some time now and have a trusting relationship with Prospero hence the SENCO has requested the support of us to hire Graduates for these roles.The school is also a Schools Direct school so if after 1 year you wish to pursue a teaching career there are avenues open to be taken on directly by the school in the following academic year for a schools direct programme which is fantastic.The role also offers the option of being permanent or on a contractual basis depending on the successful Graduate's needs. Behaviour at the school is extremely good, although, like most schools, there are a few students in a few of the year groups that have more challenging attitudes towards learning, therefore you will be expected to demonstrate the correct strategies to ensure the behaviour stays at a manageable standard. The school does provide education for students of all abilities therefore creating differentiated and interesting attention grabbing lessons is a very important trait and will act as a useful method to ensure behaviour stays good.
