Apply now HGV Fitter Mechanic Permanent position with 6 months' probation period. Based: Addlestonemoor, Surrey, KT15 2QF Salary: depending on experience Previous experience is an absolute must Monday to Friday with weekend work as required. You will a rotated call-out for breakdowns (every week in 3) ABOUT US: We are a highly successful facilities company, based in Addlestone, Surrey. THE ROLE: To be a HGV fitter for a Facilities Company specialising in the Film & TV industry. The ideal candidates will be experienced in routine maintenance and repair of all makes of heavy commercial vehicles, light commercial vehicles and ideally possess a HGV licence. Being able to work unsupervised and complete the necessary documentation required would be beneficial as would awareness of health and safety obligations at all times. You will be reporting directly to the Workshop Manager, as well as liaising with all staff, all of whom will be able to provide you with ongoing training. KEY TASKS: Repairing vehicles in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with current legislation.Routine vehicle maintenance to VOSA standards.Preparation and presentation of vehicles and trailers for annual MOT inspection.Good housekeeping routines to meet H&S requirements.Ensure all paperwork is completed to a high standard.Utilise all Personal Protective Equipment as necessary.Communicate effectively with the Workshop Manager.
