Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant role in Plymouth Your new companyHays Education are working alongside a large number of primary, secondary and SEN settings across the South West. We are looking for high quality education staff to provide exceptional support to students who hold Education Health and Care Plans (EHCP).Your new roleYou will be working at a school that is committed to helping young people with learning disabilities. Mainly supporting on a 1:1 basis but also aiding learning as part of small groups. Though you will work under the direction of the class teacher you will be introducing tasks, monitoring pupil's work and using a range of strategies to support their learning. What you'll need to succeedYou will need to be confident in your knowledge of the SEN Code of Conduct, as well as having referable experience working with children. Candidates must be patient and empathetic towards pupils and have a real interest in working with SEN pupils. Excellent written and spoken communication skills are essential.
