As the health & safety officer / HSE advisor, you will be required to implement the organisation's health and safety policies so that all employees have a safe and healthy working environment. You will work as part of a close-knit EHS team reporting to the health and safety manager. As the health & safety officer / HSE advisor, your duties will include: Conducting health and safety audits and on-site inspections to identify workplace hazards and unsafe equipment, working practices or working conditions.Keeping up-to-date with proposed and actual changes in health and safety regulations.Investigating H&S incidents and complaints; completing or verifying incident reports, and liaising with other technical specialists and external environmental agencies to identify the causes of these incidents and prevent their reoccurrence.Preparing and submitting H&S reports.Training the workforce on emergency response procedures, handling hazardous materials, and other aspects of health and safety management.Investigating accidents, completing or verifying accident reports and liaising with technical specialists and external health and safety authorities to identify the causes of accidents and prevent their reoccurrence To be a successful health & safety officer / HSE advisor, you will have the following skills and experience: NEBOSH certificate, ideally NEBOSH diploma. Experience in a health and safety position within the manufacturing sector.Experience of carrying out risk assessments for manufacturing processes.Good IT and communication skills.Full driving license and own transport are essential. In return, the health & safety officer / HSE advisor will receive a salary of up to £35,000 in addition to a bonus, pension and healthcare. A relocation package of up to £5,000 is also available.
