Apply now Health and Safety Coordinator / Consultant £25,000 - £29,000 depending on experience & qualifications Due to the continued success and expansion of our Birmingham-based Client's consultancy services, we are currently recruiting for a Health & Safety Coordinator / Consultant. Are you ready to develop to Consultant level and take NEBOSH to diploma level? The ideal candidate will be committed to delivering high levels of customer service excellence, and have strong knowledge and experience of H&S. Mainly home / office based with occasional site visits, the role is responsible for delivering Health & Safety consultancy services to a wide range of SME clients across the UK. A generous salary is offered, along with on-going training. Essential requirements: The successful Health & Safety Coordinator / Consultant will have: IOSH Managing Safely qualification or NEBOSH General CertificateSound working knowledge of current H&S LegislationPrevious Health and Safety ExperienceExcellent spoken and written communication and interpersonal skillsGood computer literacy skillsOrganisational skills and attention to detailLogical thinking and problem-solving skills and the ability to cope under pressureConstruction industry experience is an advantage. The duties of the Health & Safety Coordinator / Consultant are: Updating and developing health and safety policies and proceduresReview documentation including audits, inspections, risk assessments, COSHH, DSE, fire risk assessmentsAdvising clients on general safety matters, including training requirements, legislative requirements, accident recording and reporting, protective clothing and equipmentMaintain records and databasesReporting regularly to the management teamWorking with Health and Safety Executive inspectors and others as appropriateKeeping up to date with changes in Health & Safety legislation. Salary: £25,000 - £29,000 depending on experience and qualifications Benefits: 31 days holiday (including Bank Holidays) plus private medical insurance after 3 month probationary period, plus commission and bonuses as applicable. Hours of Work: Monday to Friday 9:00am - 5:30pm This role would suit someone with previous experience as: Health & Safety Coordinator, Health and Safety Officer, Health and Safety Advisor, Construction Health and Safety Advisor, Construction Health and Safety Officer, H&S Consultant, HSE Manager, Health & Safety Manager, Site H&S Coordinator.
