They are an award winning and well respected family run business and they are now seeking to appoint an ambitious and self-motivated H&S Manager. This is a newly created position and there is a great opportunity to grow with the business. This is a permanent role, working 37.5 hours per week, 8:30 - 17.00. You will receive 23 days holiday plus Bank Holidays, generous pension scheme after a length of service, bonus paid twice a year and free parking. Ultimately your role is to maintain and further improve H&S practices across the business. This role would suit someone who has a hands on approach to H&S management, and it is necessary that you are IT literate as you will need to produce Board Reports and accident statistic reports. As to be expected, this role is heavily based out in the field getting to know the team - therefore great communication skills and natural leadership skills are a must. Job DescriptionThis role is required to act as the on-site H&S practitioner and systems auditor who will deliver hands-on cultural training and further improve the current practices and systems which are in place. You will develop positive relationships with the operational management teams including office staff, drivers and operatives, to improve 'on-the ground' morale and ensure zero injuries occur.Delivering hands on training, conducting on and off-site investigations and proactively improving the culture and practices of the operational teams, you will have a positive effect on the H&S of all parts of the business.You will develop a PPMS system for best practice asset management, and safe use of suchA team player, you'll work alongside the HR, EQC & Facilities Manager to ensure the correct use of the quality systems and company record keeping. You'll audit the systems in place and work together to refine these to perfection within a rapid time frame. Person Specification: You will be qualified by experience as well as having:-NEBOSH General and Tech IOSH or equivalentEducated to GCSE Level in English and MathsProficient in Microsoft office applicationsFull UK Driving License How to Apply?
