Apply now Position - Health & Safety Manager Location - Dartford Salary - £40,000 - £45,000 per annum Type - Permanent, full time Our prestigious manufacturing client based in Dartford are looking to recruit a Health and Safety Manager. Over the past few years the company has invested in moving and modernising its manufacturing capabilities in pursuit of technical excellence and they want you to join their team of experts! In this role you will lead in the delivery of Health, Safety and Facilities projects, services and compliance with a 70% bias towards health and safety, promoting and maintaining a positive safety culture within a World-class manufacturing facility. A key member of the team, responsible for delivering a professional, proactive health, safety and facilities service to all departments and their employees. Main duties and responsibilities: Establish, develop and maintain a proactive, compliant and positive Health and Safety cultureManagement of a team of Safety and Facilities professionalsAssisting with the development of key health and safety objectives, strategies and documentation; ensuring compliance with current legislationLead by example, working alongside Line managers on all health and safety matters, maintaining a visual presence in all production areas, establishing strong feedback and escalation routesDay to day management of hard and soft services for the siteProducing, developing and analysing risk assessments to ensure best practiceInvestigate, collate and analyse accident, incident and near miss reporting dataDeliver induction training and other training as requiredMaintain and communicate departmental KPI'sLiaising with the Health, Safety and Facilities teams to ensure constant coverage across departmentsActively working to improve standards across all facilitiesManagement of all external contracts and contractorsConduct regular building inspections, collating data and delegating necessary actions in a timely fashionDevelopment of an environmental management systemLine Management responsibility for the facilities hotline and prioritisation of requirements Qualifications NEBOSH Diploma or NVQ level 5CMIOSH CertifiedBIFM qualification desirable but not essential Skills & Abilities Some knowledge/experience in Manufacturing is essential Ability and drive to develop and maintain robust systems and processesAbility to deliver operationally with a pragmatic approachGood influencing, negotiating and coaching skillsAbility to work across a range of projects and activities at the same timeAbility to analyse problems and issues, spot trends and opportunities, and then offer creative and practical solutionsStrong focus on influencing and delivering change for the benefit of customers Personal Attributes A desire to learnA real desire to make a difference coupled with the resilience to see a job throughAn enthusiastic can-do approach to getting things doneAlign with company values - with a high degree of integrity and pride in the work that you doSelf-driven, determined to do a good job and have a good work ethic This a superb company to work for!
