Apply now Vida Energy are currently working in partnership with a large Oil & Gas operator in Saudi Arabia to recruit an Inspection Engineer to work across their network of projects. The positions will be in the South of the region. This is a particularly URGENT requirement with interviews being conducted in London on Friday 2nd and Saturday 3rd March. Applicants must be able to attend on these dates to be considered. Experience Required: Trains personnel to develop technical ability and understanding of applicable codes, standards, Inspection methods In various disciplines and NDT methodsPerforms Inspections the Incumbent Is qualified/certified to performWrites Inspection reports, pre & post reports, worksheets, non- compliance reports and makes logbook entries of on-site Inspection findings, as appropriate ensuring that all hard copy and electronic databases are Initiated and maintainedCompletes training and certification as required by the Job Training Standard, Job Description and employee's IDP for grade code L 2 position entryPerforms other miscellaneous related duties as directed by the applicable Supervisor Monitors non-destructive testing examination results to determine defects, corrosion, mechanical damage, or blockages and makes recommendations for repairs or replacement as required.Performs all types of equipment inspection including that which requires the use of calipers, micrometers, infrared camera, borescopes, gages, etc. to assure continued safe operationPerforms all tests and inspections on equipment that has been repaired or modified to assure that the equipment meets the manufacturers and/or Saudi Aramco's specifications and Industry (ASME / API / AWS) code requirements. Performs all necessary inspections for the installation of hot tap, weld plus ends repair sleeves, or any welding that is required of piping or equipment while in service. e. Monitors heat treatment of piping, vessels, and equipmentWitnesses hydrostatic and/or pneumatic tests on static equipment which includes the review of Hydrostatic, Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams as well a Safety Instruction Sheets to assure that the correct pressure is used, the system is isolated properly and that relief valves are properly set and installedPerforms welder performance and welding procedure qualification records reviewMonitors all aspects of welding operation on new or existing equipment Evaluates equipment for fitness for service based on API 510 criteriaAssists in Risk Based Inspection Assessments by providing required data. Minimum Requirements: BSc Hons EngineeringMust preferably hold and maintain one relevant API certification from API 510, 570, 653, AWS certified welding inspector10 years industrial experience including 6 years inspection Strong knowledge of international Engineering PracticesExcellent Supervisory and communication skills Remuneration: Bachelor Status12 Month Rolling ContractSalary $7000 - $10000 USD per month40% additional living allowance42 Days Annual Leave (Maximum 2 leaves per year)Travel Expenses Interested parties are encouraged to apply ASAP.
