Apply now Due to succession planning, this large secondary Academy is seeking to appoint a diligent and competent Head of Finance to step into the breach whilst they recruit for the permanent role. Reporting to the Head Teacher, you will be a key member of the Senior Leadership team, providing the lead on all management and financial information. Responsibilities will include working with the Academy in developing a long term financial and strategic plan, monitoring and reporting of budgets, preparation of annual accounts and liaising with external auditors on queries and recommendations. You will oversee a small team and ensure all the invoice processing and reconciliation function operates smoothly. The successful candidate will have similar experience in running the finance function for a secondary academy or has been involved in a business support role. You must possess excellent attention to detail and communication skills as this role has a key interface with the SLT and influencing external stakeholders. Effective time management skills, coupled with a good technical accounting knowledge are integral to this role. This forward thinking school offers diversity and a collaborative team environment.
