The Opportunity: We are looking for a Junior Analyst to join the Performance team, specifically within the Strategic Analysis function. The Performance Team provides support to the entire Insurance underwriting operation and the individual in this role will work across various lines of business. Your responsibilities for this role may include, but are not limited to: Business Planning - involved in supporting all key stakeholders in the business planning process. The main stakeholders are the assigned underwriting teams, but may include the business performance team and the reserving team.Key tasks during this process include the development of business planning templates, claims projections (gross and net) together with corresponding narrative, business communication and challenge.Assisting with strategic portfolio level profitability analysis and thematic reviews.Review of monthly benchmarking and rate monitoring metrics across EO Insurance.Reinsurance - assisting with the modelling and pricing of EO Insurance's reinsurance treaties.Rating Models and Case Pricing - assisting the Pricing function on model reviews and individual risk pricing during peak renewal seasons. You will need to be able to display you have the following qualifications and experience: Highly numerate and analytical individual, with a proven track record of success.Actuarial/financial analysis experience preferred, but not essential.Strong verbal and written communication skills.Ability to take the initiative, manage own workload and multitask, with meticulous attention to detail.Logical mind set with the ability to interrogate data, analyse trends and make decisions as a result.Strong excel skills.
