Client Details The client are a well known general merchandise retail business who are looking at further growth in the business. They have an exciting customer proposition and are looking to develop their range to improve customer acquisition. Description The successful Junior Buyer will - Manage a range of products across your category - Understand the core customer of the business and build ranges and promotional strategy that meets their needs and requirement. - Monitor sales and margin performance of the category and drive key KPI's of sales, rebates and contributions. - Manage and lead negotiations with Suppliers. - Build strong relationships with both internal departments and suppliers. - Use Competitor and customer research to identify opportunities. - Complete timely range reviews. Profile The successful Junior Buyer will - Have a track record in retail buying, could be an assistant buyer looking for the next step - Have experience of providing a commercially viable range, and explaining how this was put together - Have great communication skills and ability to negotiate and influence at all levels internally and externally - Constantly challenge themselves to improve their skills set and improve business performance - Be a team player, have a fun and approachable nature and want to work in a dynamic environment - Be able to commute to London on a daily basis Job Offer The successful junior buyer will work in an amazing new office in London with an incredible team at all levels! They will be given the autonomy to improve their skills set and reach the next level in their career. Salary is dependent on experience and ability and will fal between £28-36k.
