As a result of such positive business growth, they are looking to strengthen the claims team by recruiting a Senior Large & Complex Loss Handler to join the existing team of market leading specialists, handling RTA personal injury claims valued up to rthe multi millions. The company are specifically looking for recent experience with an Insurer as relationships with Reinsurers are critical so sadly candidates with purely legal/solicitor experience would not suit this position and pure EL/PL experience is also not in the brief. The successful candidate will report directly to the Large & Complex Loss Manager and be responsible for their own caseload of new and existing Fast and Multi track Third Party claims, working within set authorities, setting and maintaining accurate reserves in line with our company reserving philosophy and have a proven ability to negotiate proactive settlements in a timely manner. As an individual with a proven technical expertise you will also assist in the technical development of the Large Loss team providing coaching and training where required along with ensuring best practice is adopted. Essential Skills/Knowledge Minimum of 7 years experience within the insurance industry (motor) in a claims handling role ideally for an InsurerMinimum of 3 years experience in handling personal injury claims (motor), with knowledge and experience in handling Multi Track claims.Substantial knowledge and experience of settling claims in excess of £100k on a regular basis The company really are looking for the cream of the crop dealing regularly with large cases so the standards are extremely high but the rewards and the satisfaction match!
