Apply now Legal Assistant/Paralegal - Personal Injury - Dispute Resolution St AlbansA leading firm of solicitors in St Albans are seeking an experienced Legal Assistant to work in their Personal Injury, Dispute Resolution Department.The role will see you providing a fully effective service to clients by progressing client files under the direction of appropriate solicitors, and to others in Dispute Resolution where required.This position will suit someone who has or is in the process of competing their legal studies and looking to pursue a Training Contract or a career in Personal Injury, Dispute Resolution.Key responsibilities are varied including:* Taking initial client instructions and handle tasks under solicitor's instructions, this may include drafting and submitting relevant forms, collating medical evidence and evidence of other losses.* Drafting Court papers & documents* Assist in collecting all outstanding costs from clients.* Opening, maintaining and closing client and internal files.* Liaising with clients as instructed* Maintaining Lawyer's diaries and make appointments* Manage outgoing post and emails as required* Tying duties for fee earners* You will have experience of working within a claimant Personal Injury department of a law firm or relevant legal qualifications would be preferred.If this sounds like you, please apply today!Salary £18K - £25K22 days holiday + 8 days bank holiday Working hours 9am - 5:15pm with an hour for lunch
