Apply now We are supporting our client with the recruitment of a Legal Secretary to provide support predominantly within the residential conveyancing team but also covering some probate matters. Responsibilities and dutiesThe candidate would sit in reception.This multi-tasking role is divided between:Acting as receptionist/telephonistActing as secretary to the Probate and Residential Conveyancing fee earnersProviding support as personal assistant/para-legal to the conveyancing fee earner.In addition to general secretarial skills the following skills are ideally required:A good telephone mannerAn ability to assist clients as much as possible prior to sending messages to fee earners for return callsOpening matters and files on the systemProducing initial letters to clients with the relevant forms for the client to complete and returnProducing draft contract packages on sales and despatching the same with appropriate lettersConducting searches on purchases via our Search providers and supplying such results to the fee earner for examinationPreparing paperwork for completionsDealing with the payment of stamp duty following completion of purchases and also Land Registry applicationsThe candidate would need to have had previous conveyancing experience.Qualifications and SkillsLegal Secretary experience vital and also conveyancing experience needed.Job Type: Full-timeSalary: £23,000.00 to £25,000.00 /yearRequired experience:Legal Secretarial: 2 years
