Apply now We are currently seeking a skilled MIG/MMA Welder Fabricator to join a highly regarded and very well-established engineering firm close to Stanton in Suffolk. This is a great opportunity to join a very stable workforce of 90, in a full-time permanent capacity, where the opportunity for overtime is ample! Our client have been designing and manufacturing machinery and accessories (on both a small and large scale) for global agricultural markets for over 40 years and have achieved enormous success in their field due to their reputation for quality products and on-site engineering expertise. They are also a very stable employer, with high retention rates of staff and an excellent friendly, tidy and safe working environment. Within the 90-strong workforce, the team of 20 Welder Fabricators are in need of an additional MIG / MMA Welder Fabricator to work on the accurate and expert welding and fabricating of products. Mainly using mild steel and stainless steel to varying thicknesses; from 1mm to 12mm. Working primarily on the bench, there may also be opportunities to move to welding larger products, some which are very heavy and large so there is also a physical element to the role where products may need to be moved/lifted into position. Our client are seeking an open, friendly and reliable team player with good solid experience in MIG and MMA Welding/Fabricating; ideally with experience working on agricultural machinery, although this is not essential. It is important that this person is able to work from engineering drawings easily, and has their own transport due to our client's rural location. It is important to note that although our client operate a standard day shift only at present (8am - 4:30pm Monday to Thursday, 8:00am - 3:30pm each Friday), there may be the possibility of shifts being implemented in the future (either permanently or just occasionally during busy times). Although there are no plans to implement a shift at all; it is something our client are aware they may need to look at should workload increase rapidly. As such, it is important to our client to only consider candidates who are willing to accommodate this shift pattern if need be.
