Apply now Management Information (MI) Analyst / MI Business Analyst - SSRS and SQLInsurance Claims or Business Development Our client, a global Insurance organisation organisation has an immediate requirement for an MI Anlayst to work with the wider Management Information (MI) team to learn processes and procedures and assist in day to day reporting and implementing improvements.The time spent will be split between delveoping new reports and reporting capabilities in SSRS and SQL sever management studio. The remaining time will be working with the MI Business Analysts to migrate and streamline current data processes. Key Responsibilities Collect and understand requirements for new SSRS reporting and Deliver new reports.Assist MI BA's with project tasks during busy periodsMigrate 'Legacy' reporting to SSRSAssist in Month end reportingDevelop business knowledge and technical skills to be able to provide support to MI BA's.Ad hoc data requestsProduce clear and concise reports to analyse business activityAny other duties as is reasonably requested. These requirements include Solvency II, fair treatment of customers, Financial Crime, Data Protection, Conflicts of Interest, and Whistleblowing. Skills and ExperienceEssential Criteria: Requires strong and relevant work experience gained in a similar role within the insurance industry (underwriting or broking)Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, SSRS; can clearly demonstrate knowledge on building reports to a high standardEffectively uses and manipulates data from databases and I.T. systems to produce qualitative data for the businessRequires strong working knowledge of Microsoft SQL databases; can clearly demonstrate how to append write complex queries.Strong business data analysis skillsEffectively interacts and communicates with clients and colleagues to understand what kind of information they need to produce itThe ability to work in a small team, coach peers and add valueThe ability to prioritise stakeholder needsTo be here for the duration of the contract and particularly our busiest time of year; December - March Preferred Criteria: An understanding of insurance accounts such as P&L accounts and balance sheetsUnderstanding of sharepoint functionality
