Located within beautiful grounds spanning 750 acres, this school specialises in environmental and land-based sciences. This setting teaches the National Curriculum and offer the same academic qualifications as traditional schools whilst also working towards key, industry specific technical qualifications through weekly real world work experience.Your new roleYou will be planning, marking and delivering the national Mathematics curriculum from KS3 up to KS5 with your main focus being to support students through their GCSE's. The school has just under 200 pupils on roll and these include some with SEN, right up to the highest performing students in the area. You will work as part of a small, approachable and supportive team of specialists, with guidance from the Head of Department. The role is full time and with the school being part of a Local Authority, you will work normal term times throughout the year.What you'll need to succeedYou will need to be a fully trained Mathematics specialist with the ability to teach the subject up to A level. A sound knowledge of Physics is desirable but not essential. You will need to be a positive individual who loves teaching and is hugely passionate about their chosen subject. You will undergo a stringent compliance process that includes various legal checks including recent referable experience working as a teacher. A Fully Enhanced DBS check is non-negotiable, a certificate on the update service is acceptable.
