Apply now JOB- Mechanical Design Engineer LOCATION- West Oxfordshire TERM- Permanent SALARY- £23,000 - £25,000 per annum dependant on experience (please advise what you're looking for) My client designs components for instruments used in different industries and they are looking to take on a Mechanical Design Engineer, on a permanent basis, in the Oxfordshire area. The Mechanical Design Engineer will ideally have the following attributes: Qualified in Mechanical Engineering or similar (MSc/ Degree/ HNC/ HND)Experience of using 3D CAD, ideally SolidEdge or similarGood knowledge of metals and plastics and other manufacturing techniquesGood Microsoft Office proficiencyExcellent communication skills both verbal and writtenExperience of designing electronic enclosures or electro-mechanical assemblies would be desirableAny FEA / ANSYS experience would be a bonus but isn't essential The Mechanical Design Engineer role will involve: Working within the companies' R&D teamBeing responsible for the mechanical design cycle from concept to releaseDesigning mechanical assemblies and components using 3D CAD (SolidEdge)Producing the documentation to go with the designsWorking with customers and suppliers as requiredWorking in the design for small volume, high precision manufacturing If you are interested in this position, please apply with an up to date CV as soon as possible, along with your availability and your salary expectation.
