Apply now Photocentric, based in Peterborough, is a rapidly growing innovative company that designs and manufactures innovative patented 3D printers. We are looking to increase our engineering capabilities building everything from the highest resolution 3D printers in the world to the largest format ones! We are employing a Mechanical Design Engineer to join our innovative, driven and vibrant engineering team. The role will be varied; creating designs, designing them in Solidworks CAD, making prototypes and then testing them. There is the opportunity to move away from the desk and be hands on creating, designing, building and developing our unique printers. The successful engineer ideally will hold engineering qualifications and have experience of designing and building machines. Being fascinated by 3D printing is essential! Applicants should be experienced engineers who are capable of working independently, managing a project from start to finish, and be able to decide when to make use of external suppliers, contractors and technical assistance. We have a friendly open environment with a fully equipped tool room. This role would suit an hands on engineer who wants to be challenged and creative environment. Generous salary offered.
