Apply now THE ROLEReporting to the Research and Development Manager the role involves:Main Duties:- Be responsible for the entire mechanical design cycle of new products from initial concept through to Production release- Design components for machining, 3D printing and sheet metal forming- Generation of 2D/3D technical drawings, BOMs and instruction manuals- Interfacing with customers and suppliers- Identify product and project risks- Use of ERP system to generate part numbers- Other duties as requested by R&D Manager or Director of the CompanySkills / Competencies:Essential:- 2D & 3D CAD Modelling using Solid Edge design tools- Knowledge of manufacturing techniques such as machining, 3D printing and sheet metal forming - Skilled in technical drawing - Understanding of revision control of documentation- Excellent communication skills - written and verbal- Be computer literate with good typing skills - Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office softwareDesirable:- Design of Electro-mechanical assembliesFEA using software such as ANSYSOnly applicants meeting the strict criteria outlined above will be contacted as part of the shortlisting process.Working Hours:- This position is permanent, full-time, 37.5 hours per week, Monday to FridayContact: Andy CoxT: E:
