Apply now Our client is a leading manufacturing company based near Ilkeston and due to their continued success Staffbase have been appointed to recruit for the position of Mechanical / Electrical Maintenance Engineer. We are seeking experienced maintenance engineers who have previous experience in an electrical and /or mechanical fitting / shift engineer position. The Role: Reporting to the Maintenance Manager you will be responsible for undertaking planned and reactive maintenance. service and repair activities in a heavy industry manufacturing plant. Your duties will include but is not limited to the following; Mechanical maintenance of conveyor systems, hydraulic and pneumatic plant & machineryElectrical maintenance, fault find and repair of production plant & machinery including, 3 phase motors, inverters, PLC's, control systems, sensors, relays, switch gear The role is a based on a four week Monday to Friday shift rota incorporating earlies, afternoon and night shift pattern. Candidates: You will have at least three years previous manufacturing maintenance experience in a similar position. Applicants with heavy industry background such as recycling, aggregates and quarry industry will have an advantage however all applicants will be considered. You will be a time served engineer or you will have minimum NVQ level 3 training in mechanical/electrical engineering. Candidates for electrical maintenance role will have 17th Edition electrical certification and preferably PLC (hydraulic controls) interrogation or programming experience. Hours of Work: Monday to Friday x 2 weeks days + 1 week afternoons + 1 week nights Sun to Thurs
