To apply for this role you must hold a minimum childcare qualification of NVQ 2 and have the commitment to train towards further qualification. Main Purpose: To work with children aged 0-5 years. Provide challenging and enjoyable learning and development experiences for all children. Adhere to Statutory Framework To meet the needs of the individual child. To respect and adhere to parent/child confidentiality. Responsible to: Head of Room, Deputy Manager, and Directors. Responsible for: Adhering to Safeguarding policy and procedure without fail. Safety and well being of children and colleagues. Development of Key children (researchers) Observing, reporting and evaluating achievements. Keeping evidence and reports to support learning under EYFS Framework 2012. Encouraging and role modelling good hygiene and social skills. Liaising with colleagues, managing team and parents effectively and professionals. Dealing with other agencies and professionals. Maintaining First Aid Certificate. Carrying out constant health and safety checks on the environment, furniture and equipment and following policies/ procedures in relating to Health and Safety/Risk assessments. Ensuring all records and charts are kept up to date and the correct reporting procedures are adhered to. Opening or closing the nursery and holding a key. You are to ensure security measures are properly and consistently followed. Supporting the nursery Educational programmes. Main Tasks of Role: To attend internal / external training courses. To adhere to flexibility within the setting, teams, shifts and other sites as requested. To be punctual, reliable and efficient, and maintain professional dignity - be an ambassador for the nursery. Support and adhere to Policies and procedures. To attend relevant training and implement ideas gained. To maintain a safe, stimulating and secure environment. Supporting colleagues, parents and the managing team to maintain high quality child care establishment. To maintain environment, safety, cleanliness of equipment and rooms, including common areas. Attend and support team meetings and decisions made for the whole nursery. Attend and support staff meetings, input suggestions and ideas to promote good practice. Attend and support parent meetings. Meet targets, goals and deadlines set. This is a permanent position.
