They are currently looking for Project Engineer to be based on client projects based in Whitehall. The RoleAs a project Engineer they are looking for someone to deliver ndividual or multiple building services related to new works within allocated budgets and defined programmes.Undertaking scoping activities with the customer to ensure the requirement is fully definedDeveloping design proposals and specifications alongside the customer, design consultants (where employed separately) and the site Assurance teamEnsuring that all proposed designs/work activities complies with customer's procedures and site standardsObtaining quotes/formal tenders for resources and sub-contracted works in line with Procurement Policy and Contract requirementsManage quotation submission to client and gain approvals / purchase ordersDevelop, Publish and Maintain project plans throughout the life cycle of each project obtaining stakeholder agreements as required Prepare budget costs and ongoing budgetary controlAssist the project manager to appoint and manage consultants and other specialist contractorsDeputise for the Project ManagerBe willing to act as Authorised Person Electrical (High Voltage) & (Low Voltage).Any other reasonable duties as requested.What you need to succeedThe Ideal candidate will have proven xperience in project management with demonstrable competence in producing work breakdown structures, scheduling and resourcing projects; desirably holding a relevant project management qualificationTechnically competence in a relevant building services or engineering discipline to at least NVQ level 4Demonstrable experience in delivering projects in highly regulated environments.Experience of NEC3 contracts and commercially awareAbility to liaise with and supervise contractors and tradesmenTo be able to communicate at all levels, with excellent written and oral skillsIT skills required with specific reference to the Microsoft suite of packagesDemonstrate financial and budget management responsibility for projects up to £2MPersonal AttributesStrong leadership qualitiesMotivated self-starterWillingness to train, update and improve themselves for the benefit of the contractAbility to think and react to immediate problems and issues without losing sight of or compromising long term goalsHigh standard of personal integrity and professionalism with the adaptability to change Ability to lead and act with authority when requiredPro-active approachDeductive Reasoning - the ability to apply general rules to specific problems to produce answers that make sensePLEASE NOTE:Ideally be security cleared to DV or meet all minimum criteria to apply for and pass security clearance procedures.To undertake all duties and responsibilities, including relevant training and medicals, as deemed necessary for working in confined spaces.Be prepared to be on-call to provide response as part of the business resilience response team.
